Creation History

The album was recorded from May to November 2008 in St. Petersburg at the Aquarium home studio and in London at Livingston Studios. The album includes 12 new songs that were written after the release of the previous album “ Carefree Russian tramp ” (the songs “Dui” and “Arigato” were written in 2006 , “Falcon”, “What should we do with a drunken sailor?”, “Pansies” and ladybugs ”and“ Inexplicably ”- in 2007 , the rest - in 2008 ). In addition to the band’s musicians (in which Alik Potapkin and Alexander Titov have recently played again), about three dozen musicians playing a wide variety of instruments took part in the album’s recording (most of them take part in the Aquarium International project).

The album was released on December 3, 2008 on the site Krugi.ru and became one of the first albums of Russian musicians released on the principle of "pay how much you think is necessary." On the official page of the group [2] it is proposed to download the album [3] , while the user can specify the amount of the voluntary donation, which is accepted through electronic payment systems PayPal , WebMoney or by SMS . For the first time, such a decision was tested by Radiohead during the release of In Rainbows .
