The Duke of Leuchtenberg is the title of one of the branches of the French noble family of Beauharnais , which later became the name of some of the descendants of this family.

This title was established in 1817 by Maximilian I (king of Bavaria) for his son-in-law Eugene Beauharnais (as a mediated duchy), to whom he also transferred part of the principality of Eichstät . At the same time, Eugene received the title of Royal Highness, passing by birthright. Other members of the clan were given the title of Most Serene Princes.

The coat of arms of the Duchess Zinaida Dmitrievna Leuchtenberg is included in Part XIV of the General Herbovik of the noble families of the All-Russian Empire, p. 1 .
Four-part shield. In the first and fourth silver parts, an azure belt. In the second green part, a silver sword in a pole, encircled in the middle with gold of six rays by a star, a hilt of gold, the top of the sword is surrounded by six gold stars of six rays. In the third silver part, there is a black belt, above it there are black birds without legs and without beaks ( bezels ). The shield is decorated with the Ducal crown and three silver helmets, of which the middle one is crowned by the Ducal crown, and the last by the noble crowns. Crests : of the middle helmet - a black Imperial eagle with red eyes and tongues and golden beaks and claws, crowned with two gold imperial crowns; the right wing has a silver wing with a black belt, above which are three black birds without legs and without beaks (bezels); on the left - a green field marshal’s rod decorated with a gold rim and golden about six rays stars in a pole, behind which are two crossed green laurel branches. Bait : the middle helmet is black with gold, the right one is black with silver, and the left one is azure with silver. Shield holders : two black eagles with red eyes and tongues and golden beaks and claws, standing on two green palm branches. Around everything is a princely mantle with a princely crown. The large coat of arms of Their Imperial Highnesses, Their Highnesses and Their Lordships of the Princes Romanovs is a golden two-headed Russian eagle with a four-part shield on its chest with a small shield in the middle. In the first and fourth parts, silver, blue belt. In the second part, a green, silver sword: the hilt is golden, the top of the sword is surrounded by six golden stars. In the third part, on a silver field, there is a black belt, above it are three black birds. In a small shield, on a golden field, red, crowned with a red crown, the monogram of Emperor Nicholas I (N), on the shield is the ducal crown. The main shield is crowned with the helmet of Alexander Nevsky; around the chain of the order of St. Andrew the First-Called, he will outline gold and black; two golden neck with red eyes and tongues serve as shield holders.
