The landing net is jargon, a word used by amateur anglers in exchange for the word net. The landing net is auxiliary tackle for fishing . It consists of a handle with a length of 1-2 meters or more and a hoop (at the moment the net itself produces different shapes, most often triangular) with a diameter of about 50 centimeters with a finely meshed mesh swayed on it, forming a “bag”.
It is used when playing large fish. At the time of pulling the fish out of the water caught by a fishing rod or spinning, in order to avoid breaking the line or gathering fish from the bait, the landing net is lowered into the water and brought under the fish, so the fish ends up in the net of the landing net.
