Biography

Born on June 19, 1955 in Kirovo-Chepetsk. According to Myshkin, his fellow countryman Alexander Maltsev helped him become a goalkeeper - Myshkin began to play together with his younger brother Sergey , who was a goalkeeper. One day during the match, which was judged by Alexander, Sergei missed a light puck, and the elder called his brother to his side and said: “Leave the gate. From tomorrow, your place in the field. " So at the gate there was a place for Myshkin, who did not seek to play in the field [1] .

A pupil of the Sports School of the Kirov-Chepetsk hockey club "Olympia" , in which he began his playing career in 1972. I got to Moscow with my coach, Vitaly Georgievich Erfilov , whom Boris Kulagin called in Wings of the Soviets .

He played for Wings of the Soviets in 1972-1975 and 1977-1980. He spent the seasons 1975/1976 and 1976/1977 in the Saratov “Crystal” (in the 1975/76 season he went out with the club to the major league of the USSR championship).

1978 became especially important for Vladimir: together with Wings of the Soviets, he performs in a series against NHL clubs, and then makes his debut in the USSR national team at the Rude Pravo tournament . His debut (match of the USSR - Czechoslovakia, 5: 4) was not particularly bright, moreover, during the tournament he lost his place in the national team to Spartak Viktor Doroshchenko .

Re-entry into the national team becomes fantastic for Myshkin - in the winter of 1979, in the decisive game of the Challenge Cup (USSR - NHL 6-0), when Myshkin replaces Vladislav Tretyak - he plays, perhaps the best match of his career. On this day, he repelled all 24 shots on goal. After this game, Myshkin firmly joined the national team.

In 1980-1990 he played for Dynamo (Moscow) . In total, he held 527 matches in the championships of the USSR.

In the 1990/1991 season he played in Lucco (Finland) . From 1994 to 1999 he was one of the coaches at the Swiss Davos . In the early 2000s, he worked as a goalkeeper coach in Dynamo Moscow, then in CSKA HC. He worked as a goalkeeper coach at the Vityaz hockey club.

In 2011-2014, he worked in the Russian team as a goalkeeper coach. Together with the team he became the world champion in 2012.

Continues to go out on ice for the club of veterans of HC "Hockey Legends" [2] .

Member of the Board of the Night Hockey League, curator of the Siberia conference.
