Second Album is British rock band Curved Air's second studio album, recorded with producer Colin Caldwell in Island Studios and released by Warner Bros. Records in September 1971 [1] . On October 9, the album climbed to 11th place on the UK Albums Chart . The single “ Back Street Luv ” was released at the end of July and reached 4th place on August 7, 1971 [2] .

History
Their second album, Curved Air, was recorded after a long tour, in an atmosphere of internal conflict, in which Way and Christina represented one side (gravitating to hard rock), and Francis Monkman represented the other (experimental) side [3] . Monkman himself said that by this time, exhausted by the tour, was on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Second Album , like the debut album, was actively promoted by Warner Bros., but in many ways this was what set the press against Curved Air, and the release was greeted coolly [4] .
