In Ryazank there was a family estate of Semenovs. Here in 1827 (then the village of Stenshino) the Russian scientist geographer and traveler P. P. Semyonov-Tyan-Shansky was born. To this day, his house and park, planted by brother N.P. Semenov, have been preserved. The park presents rare species of trees from around the world. Today the whole estate is a monument of architecture (regional) , and the park is a dendrological monument of nature.
