Pokrovskoye ( sometimes Pokrovka ) is a village in the Terbunsky district of the Lipetsk region . Center Pokrovsky rural settlement . It stands on the right bank of the Olym river. Here, the Middle Shorty stream flows into it.

It was first mentioned in 1778 in the description of Leaven County . It was already then a village with the Intercession Church (today it
architectural monument (regional) ). Hence the name.
The church was erected in the 1780s, the bell tower - in 1833-1834. The complex was rebuilt several times: in 1858-1859, 1872-1873 and 1877-1878. The volumetric and spatial composition of the temple is characteristic of Russian provincial architecture of the 18th century . The bell tower was built in the style forms of classicism . The decor of the facades contains elements of eclecticism .
