Khrenovo (Ivanovo region)

• According to boundary books, Khrenovo as a village of Vichuzhsky volost (with Pokrovskaya church) already existed at the beginning of the 17th century.
• Shitty in the XVIII century (at that time it was also called the village of Pokrovsky) was the estate of Vasily Korchmin , the closest associate of Peter I. In 1722, Vasily Korchmin applied for permission from the tsar to build a new wooden church to replace the worn-out old one, which was built in 1723. A. Korchmin owned the Vichug clan lands (Khrenovo and Yasnevo) until 1753.
• 1828 - in Khrenovo a stone church of the Intercession is built instead of a crumbling old one.
• 1884 - a school was opened at this temple, which was originally located in a church gatehouse.
• 1897 - according to the census, 64 people lived (46 women and 18 men).
• 1897 - Ivan Alexandrovich Kokorev, a large Vichug factory owner, became the trustee of the parish school at the Pokrovsky church in Hrenovo. With his money, a separate building was adapted for the school building, which stood near the gatehouse, which could accommodate more than 60 students. But, despite this, the number of people who wanted to study was so great that it was decided to build a new stone building to accommodate a parish school of an already advanced type — a second-class school designed to train literacy teachers.
• May 22 (June 4), 1900, the solemn laying of a new stone building took place.
• 1902 - in view of the fact that there was not a single educational institution in the entire Kostroma diocese that specially prepared teachers for parochial schools, the beautiful building intended for a second-class parish school was opened in a different capacity - as the only one in the diocese church teacher seminary .
• May 13 (26), 1905 - the first graduation of the Khrenovo Church and Teacher Seminary was made . 28 pupils completed the course.
• In 1907, according to the volost, in Khrenovo there were 6 yards and 32 residents.
• June 6 (19), 1911 - Tikhon, bishop of Kostroma and Galichky, who participated in the consecration of the Resurrection Church in Tezino, visited the village of Khrenovo.

• In 1920, the Khrenovsk seminary was transformed into a three-year pedagogical course, and then (since 1921) into a pedagogical college, later renamed into a pedagogical school.
• During the war, the school housed a hospital.
• 1956 - the pedagogical school was transformed into a boarding school, which since 1981 became a special (correctional) school in which children with speech pathology live and study.
• 1950s - the Church of the Intercession and the cemetery destroyed, the remains of the bell tower are adapted for water pumping.

Data from the Russian provincial necropolis (1914). In Soviet times, the cemetery was destroyed. All surnames belonged to the clans of the Vichug factory owners . After the construction of the St. Nicholas single -faith church in New Golchikha in 1850, the main necropolis of Vichug factory owners began to form there.

• Korchmin Vasily Dmitrievich (until 1671-1729) - major general, closest associate of Peter the Great, Russian chief tsarist engineer, one of the fathers of Russian artillery, designer of guns and new weapons (rockets, flamethrowers), chief tsarist pyrotechnician, researcher and builder of new waterways. Vasily Korchmin on the territory of the Vichug region owned the patrimonial estate of Hrenovo with villages, an estate in the village. Vichuge (granted to him by Peter I after the confiscation thereof in 1718 from the previous owner, Danila Tatishchev, who fell into disgrace), the estate of Dyudyakovo with villages (this is not far from Zolotilovo). On the banks of the Volga near Plyos, V. Korchmin owned the estate of Khmelnitsa (at the beginning of the 20th century it was the cottage of Fedor Chaliapin ). The last owner of Khrenovo (until 1753) from the Korchmin family was “Captain A. Korchmin”.
• Konovalov Peter Kuzmich (1781-1846) - founder of one of the first factories in the Vichug region (in the early 1800s, officially - in 1812) in Bonyachki (now the city of Vichuga ). Thanks to his guardianship, the stone Intercession Church in Khrenovo was built in 1828, at which he was buried in the cemetery (the grave, unfortunately, was lost).
• Kokorev Ivan Aleksandrovich - the largest Vichug factory manufacturer , owner of the factories of the "Association of Manufactures Gerasim Razorenov and Ivan Kokorev (in the village of Tezino in the village of Vladychny ). He successfully developed the factory business inherited from his father-in-law Gerasim Razorenov (d.
