History

SOK Group was founded in 1994 . For several years, SOK Group was the largest partner and supplier of components for AVTOVAZ OJSC; a number of persons affiliated with SOK were included in the management of the automobile plant [1] .

Also, the main activity of the company was the production of automotive components and automobiles (second place in the production of automobiles in Russia ). The group controlled the IzhAvto car factories (in 2005 it produced 52,800 cars) and RosLada ( 22,100 cars). The group also included Avtosvet, OSVAR, Dimitrovgrad Lighting Plant, Skopinsky Automobile Aggregate Plant , Dimitrovgrad Radiator Plant, VazInterService (since 2003 ), Kinelagroplast, and others. RosLada Plant manufactured cars from car kits from 1998 to 2006 production of AvtoVAZ OJSC. In 2005, a group at the IzhAvto plant launched a project to produce Kia Spectra cars.

In 2004, the SOK group took control of Avto VAZtrans OJSC from which the road service was withdrawn and was a separate LLC AVT Dorstroy, the founder of which was the Volgomost enterprise controlled by the SOK Group. In 2017, the road enterprise LLC AVT Dorstroy was liquidated, the property was sawn and sold by VTB Bank . [2]

The Volgomost company, which belonged to SOK, built the “ dancing bridge ” in Volgograd

In addition, the group’s enterprises produced consumer goods, building structures, provided transportation services, etc. The company owned the Volgomost bridge-building enterprise, a network of cinemas in the Volga Federal District , and a network of car dealerships. The group’s total revenue in 2006 amounted to $ 2.95 billion (in 2005 - 64.4 billion rubles) [3] .

In 2008, the SOK group tried to do business in South Ossetia : President of the Republic Eduard Kokoity , a friend of Kachmazov, invited top managers of the Samara company to senior positions in the newly formed state. The group tried to get profitable contracts for economic recovery, but as a result, under the pressure of the opposition (according to other sources - due to pressure from Moscow), this activity was curtailed [1] [4] .

The group actively participated in the political and social life of the region. Social projects were financed by the SOK Charity Fund led by the spouse of the president Ilona Kachmazova. In 2004-2010, the Samara City Council was headed by Vitaly Ilyin, Vice President of the SOK Group. In the 2006 election of the Head of Samara, the group actively supported Viktor Tarkhov , after the election of which a number of top managers of the group headed the subordinate institutions of the city administration. [5] In 2007, the group financed the regional elections of the Russian Ecological Party Green , listing its top manager on the list. [6]

The SOK group included its own private security company of the same name, subsequently the names of which changed. After the factory fan was abolished at AvtoVAZ , the plant was guarded by the affiliated security structures of the SOK group (LLC Private Security Company Sturm LLC and Private Private Security Company VSB). The new owner at VAZ Rostec replaced the JUICE. However, the Sokovskaya guard, reorganized into the private security company Avangard LLC, continued to provide security for the plant and its facilities, among which there were previously convicted men in the guard. [7] [8]

Termination

In 2008, the Rosoboronexport company was able to oust the representatives of SOK from AvtoVAZ, after which the group began to lose its position in the Volga region [1] . In 2009, SOK sold IzhAvto to the company’s management according to a complex scheme (representatives of Sberbank of Russia , which eventually acquired control over the enterprise for debts, accused SOK of withdrawing the assets of the car plant in connection with this) [9] .

Criminal Cases

On suspicion of deliberate bankruptcy of IzhAvto, a criminal case was initiated, in February 2011 the owner of SOK Yuri Kachmazov and several other leaders of SOK and IzhAvto were wanted [10] , according to data from August 2011 in the UAE , as well as a number of former top managers of the group. In August 2011, one of the former leaders of SOK, as well as the former vice-governor of the Ulyanovsk region, was brutally murdered in Suzdal [1] .

Asset sale

In 2005, the group sold its CB Promek Bank to the Rusfinance Bank financial group. [eleven]

In 2006, the group sold the Samara- based Orion television company to the STS Media media holding - after the television company ceased to exist.

In addition to IzhAvto, in 2008-2011 the group disposed of most of its assets, in particular, the companies Volgomost, Samara Automobiles, Samara Window Structures, Plastic, AVTOVAZTRANS, and Samara Cinema were sold ", RSC" Star ", the production of mineral water" Laguna ". [1] .

In March 2011, the company sold its largest asset, the Volgomost company [12] .

The automobile assembly plant RosLada (Syzran), distillery Talco (Tolyatti), and the Samara cinema Shipka ceased to exist.
