Edward Colman ( Eng. Edward Colman ; November 1, 1936 , Salford , England - February 6, 1958 , Munich , Germany ), better known as Eddie Colman ( Eng. Eddie Colman ) - English footballer , extreme midfielder . Since 1953, he played for the English club Manchester United , was one of the famous " Busby Kids ". One of the eight Manchester United football players who died on February 6, 1958 during a plane crash in Munich .

Biography
Coleman was born in Salford , Lancashire and after graduating from school in the summer of 1952 began playing for the Manchester United youth team. He made his way to the main team during the 1955/56 season. Over the next 2.5 years, he played 108 matches for the club and scored two goals, the second of which was in the fateful match of the 1958 European Cup against Red Star . At United, he earned the nickname Snakehips ( Snake Hips ) for his signature feints. [one]
He became the youngest player killed in a Munich plane crash - he was only 21 years old and 3 months old. In memory of him, the hostel of the University of Salford is named, next to the main campus ( English Eddie Colman Building ).
A statue of Coleman was erected on his grave in Vista's cemetery in Salford, but it was badly damaged by vandals . After the restoration, the statue was transferred to the house of Eddie Coleman's father, Dick, who died in October 1986 at the age of 76 and was buried next to his son and his wife Elizabeth, who died in November 1971 at the age of 62 [2]
