USS Shoup (DDG-86)

The USS Shoup (DDG-86) is the 36th destroyer of a series of 62 Arly Burke -class destroyers planned by September 13, 2002 , the construction of which was approved by the US Congress . The ship is named after David M. Shoop , 22nd Commandant of the United States Marine Corps .
