Biography

Born on August 28, 1955 in Moscow . He graduated from the Leningrad Higher Military-Political School of Air Defense in 1976 , the Military-Political Academy. V.I. Lenin in 1990 .

He was a member of the Marxist platform in the CPSU , and after its partial transformation into the party the All-Union Party "Union of Communists" from September 1991 to December 1992 was a member of the "Union of Communists", was a member of the Organizing Committee, then the Central Committee of the Party [1] .

Military Service

From 1976 to 1985, he served in the Trans-Baikal and Far Eastern military districts in positions ranging from deputy company commander to deputy regiment commander for political affairs. In 1990, he entered the adjunct department of the law department of the Military-Political Academy, prepared a thesis for defense on the topic "The legal culture of a Soviet officer and ways to improve it."

Twice in 1992 and in 1993, he was dismissed by the Minister of Defense Pavel Grachev for "political activities" and for participating in the defense of the House of Soviets of Russia during the armed confrontation in October 1993.

Incident at the CIS Joint Forces Headquarters

In the days of September-October 1993, he was appointed Assistant Minister of Defense Vladislav Achalov (appointed Acting President of Russia A. Rutsky ) [2] . On September 24, 1993, there were reports of an attack by the Terekhov group on the headquarters of the CIS Joint Armed Forces, after which Terekhov was arrested and held in the Sailor's Silence prison . In particular, the leader of Labor Russia, Viktor Anpilov, at a rally near the Council of Russia House on September 21 at about 7 p.m., told the audience that Stanislav Terekhov’s group had gone “to seize the CIS army building,” about which he himself writes in his memoirs [2] . The Commission of the State Duma to investigate the events of September 21 - October 5, 1993 established the fact of Terekhov's participation in the raid on the headquarters of the Allied Forces of the CIS [3] .

In March 1994, in an interview with the newspaper "Soviet Russia" Terekhov said:

There would be no victims if it were not for the shooting that was not started by us. And the bullet that hit the elderly woman was already fired after me in a shootout between the police and someone else who appeared later. And again, the real killer was not found! They accused us of embezzlement, carrying weapons, resistance, riots, but no one is accused of murder

In 1996, in the film “Russian Secret”, Terekhov stated that the investigation did not identify those who killed a policeman and a pensioner at the CIS headquarters [4] .

In 1998, in an interview with the General Gazeta newspaper, Terekhov stated that the submachine gunman who had killed Captain Sviridenko was a “mishandled Cossack” and that he did not instruct the submachine gunman to shoot at the policeman: “I don’t know this person personally. He was one of the defenders of the House of Soviets, and they recommended him to me as a reliable person. When we arrived at the headquarters, our UAZ was stopped by two police officers. Suddenly this man pulls out a machine gun and shoots at one of them. It soon became clear that an ambush awaited us and that we must immediately retreat. Then our paths did not cross. ” [five]

In June 2006, in an interview with Doctor of Historical Sciences Alexander Ostrovsky, Terekhov said that it was not yet time to tell who he had ordered to go to the headquarters of the CIS Joint Forces [6] .

He died suddenly on August 15, 2017 [7] [8] [9] .

He was buried in the cemetery of the village of Kupriyanikha (plot number 7), Domodedovo district of the Moscow region.

In the elections to the State Duma in 1995 he ran for the number 5 on the list of the electoral association "Power to the people!"

In 1998, he ran for the by-elections to the State Duma in the constituency, in which Andrei Nikolaev won.

In the fall of 2002, he created the small ultranationalist National Power State Party of Russia .
