History and Activities
Bereznikovskaya CHPP-2 was built during the war years and its launch took place in 1947 .
The station uses domestic equipment, as well as equipment from Germany and England.
CHPP-2 provides steam and hot water to enterprises of the Bereznikov Northern Industrial Zone, among which are VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation OJSC and Beraton OJSC ( polyacrylamide production), and also supplies heat and hot water to urban consumers.
September 2, 2010
“About half a 120-meter reinforced concrete pipe collapsed by falling down. Partially outward, but mostly inside, ”said Vladimir Trenogin, head of the OGPS-1 EMERCOM of Russia, to the“ New Companion ”. - The designs of the CHPPs, which are literally nearby, were not affected. The station continues to operate as usual, since a collapsed chimney refers to the separation of electricity production, not heat. According to our data, there are no victims, in any case, there are no missing workers - we made a roll call of everyone who was on the shift. It is possible that there were outsiders in the territory - this cannot be ruled out. ”
According to the press service of TGK-9, despite the incident with the chimney, heat and power supply to consumers is carried out in full.
According to preliminary data, the collapse of the 120-meter pipe occurred at an altitude of 50-80 meters - the so-called "oblique scrap". Other facilities and equipment of the power plant involved in the production activities of the CHPP were not damaged. Given that the pipe was in idle (“cold reserve”) and was not involved in the technological production cycle of the power plant, there are no interruptions in the heat and power supply to consumers.
Smokestack No. 3 has been in operation since 1959 . In 2008, the facility passed an industrial safety review, based on the results of which a conclusion was issued on its suitability until 2013 .
To find out the reasons for what happened, a special commission was created, which, in addition to specialists from the Bereznikovskaya CHPP-2 and TGK-9, included representatives of Rostekhnadzor and the Ministry of Emergencies. The commission is working on various versions of what happened.
Current status
Currently [ when? ] 4 generators with a capacity of 6, 12, 30 and 50 MW are in operation.
The CHP is connected to the power system via four 110 kV high-voltage lines:
- 2 VL 110 kV Substation Titan - Bereznikovskaya TPP-2
- 2 VL 110 kV Bereznikovskaya CHPP-2 - Bereznikovskaya CHPP-4 with soldering
