Marxist street (Moscow)

Marxist street - a street in the Tagansky district of the Central Administrative District of the city ​​of Moscow . It lies between Taganskaya Square and Abelmanovskaya Street . Until 1919 , the street was called Empty by the wastelands located on it. The modern name is derived from the word " Marxist ".

Location

Marxist street starts from Taganskaya Square. After houses No. 1 and No. 16 it intersects Mayakovsky Lane . Between houses No. 22 and No. 24 Gvozdeva Street flows into the street , and between houses No. 3 and No. 5 - Marxist Lane . Between the houses number 7 and number 9, Novoselensky Lane flows into the street. Marxist street ends with the intersection with Abelmanovskaya street, then continuing as Volgogradsky Prospekt .

At the beginning of Marxist street is the metro station " Marxist ", which was named on this street. Also in the immediate vicinity of the intersection of Marksistskaya and Abelmanovskaya Streets, on the Krestyanskaya Zastava Square , there are Proletarskaya and Krestyanskaya Zastava metro stations.

Bus routes No. 901 and T26 (through 2017 it was the route of trolleybus No. 26; from Taganskaya Square to Mayakovsky Lane, in one direction) and trolleybuses No. 27 (along the entire length of the street in both directions) run along Marxist Street.
