Split
In the 2003 State Duma elections, the bloc received 5,469,556 votes (9.02%), having held 29 deputies on the party list in the parliament and created its own faction. However, conflicts began immediately between the co-founders in the bloc, which led to the formation of three factions, the composition of which was also replenished by single-mandate deputies elected in single-mandate constituencies . The total number of deputy mandates in the three fractions of the Motherland was 49 deputies and, in addition, the status of vice speaker of the State Duma.

- Transformation into the party and the departure of Glazyev
On February 10, 2004, the People’s Will party and February 14, the Socialist United Party of Russia, at their congresses, which were co-founders of the Rodin bloc, supported Sergei Glazyev’s participation in the presidential elections, which disagreed with the Congress of Russian Communities and the Party of Russian Regions, which supported the candidacy of Vladimir Putin . On February 14, the Congress of the Party of Russian Regions (PPR) rejected the proposal of Glazyev and Baburin to unite all block-forming parties. By the decision of the congress, the Party of Russian Regions (PPR) was renamed the Rodin political party under the chairmanship of Dmitry Rogozin. Sergei Glazyev, elected chairman of the bloc, resigned, Dmitry Rogozin passed the post of the head of the Rodina faction in the State Duma, and the post of vice quota speaker passed to the head of the breakaway Faction Rodina - Narodnaya Volya - CEPR Sergey Baburin. In the presidential election, the Homeland Party officially supported the candidacy of Vladimir Putin. [five]
In June 2005, party chairman Dmitry Rogozin at the congress accused the West of preparing a red revolution in Russia [6]
- The exit of the "People’s Will"

February 25, 2006 the regional court withdrew "Homeland" from the elections in the Kursk region [10]
In February 2006, the regional court withdrew "Motherland" from the elections in the Kaliningrad region [11]

In March 2006, the regional party list in Gorno-Altaisk was restored and the party took 2nd place, gaining 10.52% of the electorate [15]
Rogozin's resignation and course change
On March 25, 2006, at the congress of the Rodin party, Dmitry Rogozin resigned as chairman. He announced that the Kremlin had put forward an ultimatum that the party could exist in the event of a new leader. The congress elected the new party chairman, Alexander Babakov, and abandoned his former leftist national course, taking a social-democratic orientation and changing the flag's red to yellow. [sixteen]

Dissolution

Mironov and Babakov declared their readiness to unite all left forces under their wing - except for the Communist Party and the NBP - and thus go to the State Duma, becoming one of the system parties along with United Russia . The ideological platform of the new association is to support the course of President Putin . [18]
The merger of the two parties (and the Russian party of pensioners that joined them) was finalized on October 28, 2006 as the renaming of the Rodina party, with the membership of the RPG and RPP members and the election of new governing bodies on an equal footing. The new party was called “ Fair Russia: Homeland / Pensioners / Life ” (now the name of the united party has become shorter - now it is simply called “Fair Russia”). [nineteen]
