Biography

She made her debut on the stage at the age of fifteen, accompanied by the group “The Luvvers”. Since 1965, acts independently. From the same time actively filmed in the movies. In particular, in 1967, Lulu played with Sidney Poitier in the film “ Master with Love ”. The song from this film, performed by Lulu, led the American Billboard Hot 100 for 5 weeks.

In 1969 she represented Great Britain at the Eurovision Song Contest , where she won the first place with the song “Boom Bang-A-Bang”. In 1974, included in the top ten British charts with the song "Take Your Mama For A Ride". At the same time she performed the song for the James Bond film “The Man with the Golden Gun ”.

In the 1990s Lulu returns to the top of the charts with a song recorded with the group Take That . In 2002, she released an album of duets recorded with Paul McCartney and Elton John .

From 1969 to 1973 she was married to Maurice Gibb from the Bee Gees group. In 2003, Lulu released her autobiography. Currently working as a radio host on the BBC .
