Bahrain Championship is a professional rating tournament on snooker , replacing the Dubai Classic rating tournament held from 1988 to 1994. Passed only once - in the 2008/09 season . Nothing is known about its renewal.

Matches are held at the Bahrain International Exhibition Center in Manama .
Prizes
Prizes in 2008 amounted to GB £ 250,000. The winner receives £ 48,000, the finalist receives £ 22,500. The prize for the maximum break will be £ 20,000, and the highest for £ 2000.
Format
Matches in the main draw of the tournament are held by the knockout system. In the main draw 16 qualifying players (including the winners of the wild card round) and 16 players from the Top-16 .

- 1/2 finals: Matches up to 6 wins
- Final: Match to 9 wins
