The Scientific Research Institute of the Academy of Sciences of Abkhazia ( Abh. Asgna Akunkarr Anaukak Rakademi Abotanikat Institute ) is a state scientific institution of Abkhazia , part of the Academy of Sciences of Abkhazia . Founded in 1840 by General N. Rajewski .

The institute stores a collection of plants (more than 5,000 species ), a herbarium of the flora of Colchis , and a collection of pale specimens .
