History
The club was founded in 1935 as the football section of Tokyo Gas . In 1999, before joining the professional football, the J-League was renamed “Tokyo FC”. In the first professional season, the club took 2nd place in the Second Division of the J-League and entered the First Division. Now the club is still playing in the elite division of Japan. The highest achievement in the championship was 4th place in the 2002/03 season.
