Kambar Engineering Plant

The plant was founded in 1767 by Russian breeders Demidov as Ironworks workshops . The construction of the plant was started 6 years earlier, in 1761 . ^[1] Since 1919 it has been called the Kambara Crew Plant . ^[2] Since 1933 it is called the Foundry and Mechanical Plant . Since 1944 it was renamed the Kambara Engineering Plant . ^[3]

In the first decades after the foundation, the plant was engaged in the smelting of iron (up to 60 thousand tons per year) and sawmilling. At the end of the 19th century, the plant builds tarantulas (two tarantases built by the plant were exhibited at the World Exhibition in Paris ). At the beginning of the 20th century, the plant builds trolleys, platforms with a wooden frame, saw sharpening machines, chains. Then the plant masters the production of sawmills , fasteners for the upper structure of the track. Since 1950, the plant began producing snowplows , skidding winches, passenger cars and motor vehicles for narrow gauge railways. In 1983, at the international fair in Leipzig, the TGM40 diesel locomotive was awarded a gold medal and a diploma of the first degree. ^[four]

Diesel locomotives produced by the plant spread along the once extensive network of narrow gauge industrial railways (peat, timber, factory), as well as along children's railways throughout the Soviet Union .

Kambar Machine-Building Plant specializes in the production of track machines , traction rolling stock for narrow gauge railways (track - 750 mm - 1067 mm ). The plant is ready for the production of all types of freight cars, self-propelled power plants, similar in functionality to those previously produced by other enterprises for narrow gauge railways . These are peat-wagons of various modifications, dumping wagons , platforms , tanks , conveyors, hopper-dispensers , towing wagons and other freight wagons, service and passenger motor-cars , as well as spare parts for them. In 2013, the production of rail buses AM-3C ^[6] and motor vehicles for the Moscow metro MTK-1, AGMs, and AGMu began. ^[7]
