"The war 08.08.08. The Art of Betrayal ” is an online documentary film about the events of the military conflict in South Ossetia in August 2008 . The State Duma’s deputy Konstantin Rykov [1] was the general producer of the film (the State Duma’s deputy was the United Russia faction, the general producer of Vzglyad CJSC since 2005, and the publisher of the Vzglyad network newspaper).

Story
The film begins with the appeal of Mikheil Saakashvili to the inhabitants of South Ossetia , shown on August 7, in which he says that he loves and respects Ossetian culture and history, after which shots of the shelling of the Grad in Tskhinvali on August 8 are shown. The film is replete with recordings of military events and their consequences, most of the film is occupied by interviews with local residents, telling about the events and their experiences. The film also demonstrates documents testifying to the advance and long preparation of the Georgian side for large-scale aggression against the Ossetian population of the Republic of South Ossetia.

- On November 12, 2008 in Kiev at the Hyatt Hotel a screening of the documentary about the war between Georgia and South Ossetia “The 08.08.08 war. The art of betrayal. " The hotel received a warning from the SBU about possible protests due to the screening of the film and the hotel management canceled the screening.
