Deberz

Deberts ( de berts, de berts ) - a card game . There are varieties of it in the port cities of the Black Sea: a club and a belote .

Content

History

There are several versions of the origin of the game:

  • It is believed that initially the debitz was the final stage of the tertz game, invented and distributed among the convicts of Sakhalin at the beginning of the 20th century, which subsequently stood out as an independent game.
  • It is believed that deberts appeared in the 70s of the XIX century.
  • It is believed that deberts arose in Jewish communities and was especially popular in the 30s of the XX century.

At the moment, the game is not widely known, however, along with borax and frap (snoring) it is one of the most common professional card players in the environment.

Deberts has Moscow and Kharkov varieties, as well as some variations related, in particular, to fines and penalties. However, it should be noted that from the point of view of rules, deberz is one of the games with stable and accurate rules in all regions, and variations do not affect the essence and strategy of the game, as is typical, for example, for varieties of preference .

In Soviet times, Soviet newspapers mentioned the Musician, the strongest player in the debber. The real name of the Musician is unknown. The seconds of the Musician's partners on the card table assured him that he had never been caught in a dirty game. It is believed that the Musician never lost solely because of a phenomenal memory. In particular, the Musician came to at least one commercial game in Kharkov.

Game Rules

In deberz can be played together, three, four.

Deck

For the game, a 32- card deck is used (from an ace to a seven in each suit).

Card Seniority

In a trump suit: seven, eight, nine, jack , queen , king , ten, ace .

Purpose of the game

In a party consisting of several changes, the first of the players to score 301 points (short debitz) when playing together and 501 (long debitz) when playing together, three or four. The required number of points can have options, for example, in some regions they play up to 1001 points when playing three or four.

There is a game convention for two players, called "one-hit." In it, the winner is revealed in one hand (usually a match is played up to 9 points, with “dave”).

Game Process

Letting and Trading

The dealer for the first time is determined by lot. Submission to all subsequent draws is made by the player who won the previous draw. Each player is dealt six cards in a clockwise direction, and it is customary to deal three cards each. After the change, a potential trump card opens, on which the rest of the deck is placed perpendicularly. Then, the player sitting to the left of the dealer, based on his cards, has the right to declare his consent to the game with a trump indicated by the open card suit or refuse to play with this trump suit with the word “pass”. After a player’s pass, the same right passes in the game of two to the dealer, in a three-player game - to the next player, and if he refuses, then to the dealer. If all players refused to play with the trump open, the player sitting to the left of the dealer has the right to declare another suit as a trump or pass. When passing, the right to declare the suit passes to the next player and, if he refuses, to the dealer. Game without a trump card does not exist. If all players refused to play, then the cards are collected from the table and transferred to the next player to be dealt. With the preliminary agreement of the players, there is a version of the game “with obligation”, where if everyone says a pass, the dealer must play, and the transfer is not made.

When a player has chosen a trump card, they say that he is “ playing ” and indicates which suit.

In case one way or another the trump card was announced, the dealer hands each of the players (leaving the card that was a potential trump card open) three more buy-in cards, opens the bottom card of the remaining deck and puts it open on top of the deck. This card (sometimes called a cutter ) has no meaning other than an informative one. This rule applies to the game together and three. there are only 32 cards in the deck, and in a four-player game, the buy-in is only two cards and the last card (assigning the initial trump card) is dealt to the dealer (the cutter does not open when the four-player game).

Each player, therefore, before the start of the game plays nine cards (two, three) or eight cards (four).

There is a separate rule: in a game declared with the trump suit of the suit opened upon delivery, any player with the trump seven is entitled (but not obliged) to change it to the trump card open on the table, both before and after the buy-in, but before the first move in the game (when arrangements - prior to raising the cards).

A player who has four sevens (both before the buy-in and with buy-in cards) has the right to demand a re-payment by presenting these cards at any time before the first move in the game.

After the end of the trading process, the application process begins combinations.

Combinations and their application

In the classic game, there are three types of combinations

  • tertz : three cards of the same suit in a row, for example 7,8,9.
  • tibia, deberts (half a cent, fifty, fifty) : four cards of the same suit in a row, for example 7,8,9,10.
  • Bella (pronounced Bella ): trump card, that is, a trump card lady and a king.

In determining terts and fifty dollars, the “usual” order of cards is used: seven, eight, nine, ten, jack , queen , king , ace . That is, for example, a tertz is an ace, a king, a queen, and not an ace, ten, a king, and even more so, not a jack, nine, an ace. The same card should not be in different combinations; but the cards that make up bella can come in any other combination.

It is allowed not to bid, even if the player has combinational designs.

Pass, tertsy and fifty dollars are announced by players in turn, starting with the player sitting to the left of the dealer (it is clear that if there are two players, then on the contrary) before the game begins. A player who declares a pass, tertz or fifty dollars and whose turn has approached, says, respectively, “Pass”, “Tertz” or “Fifty.” There are other options for declaring combinations - 9 cards allow you to have a maximum of three tertsa or two fifty dollars or threets and fifty dollars, respectively, and the player announces, for example, “Two tertsa”. If other players have not reported the presence of such combinations, the game begins.

If other players have combinations, then the declared combinations count towards one or another player by seniority. Only one player in a game can set off combinations for himself, and all available to him; other players do not count anything.

The rules of seniority are as follows:

  • Any fifty dollars older than any terz. This means that a player who has fifty dollars in his hands can (probably) record points for him at the end of the game, even if the other player has three tertsa in his hands. The latter will simply not be considered.
  • If the combinations are equal, the advantage is in an older combination with the same cards. That is, the ace, king and queen are older than the king, queen and jack. The first tertz will be taken into account, and the second will not bring its owner anything.
  • In case of equality of combinations, trump combination has an advantage.
  • If both identical combinations are not trump, then the combination will be considered announced by the player in order of delivery. For example, in a three-player game, the player sitting after the dealer (A) and the player following him (B) have the same non-trump fifty dollars. In this case, “A” will be considered announced fifty dollars.
  • A combination with a larger growth is counted even if the opponent has several combinations with a smaller growth. For example, if player “A” has two terts in his hands with growth of Jack, and player “B” has one terts with growth of Dam, then terts of player “A” loses.

In the event that the player (A) has announced a combination and the next one in turn (B) has an equivalent, for example, “A” announced the tertz and “B” has the tertz, “B” asks “A”: “From what?” or "Growth?". “A” must name the highest card in combination. For example, "A" has a terz: jack, ten, nine, he is obliged to say "Jack." It is clear that if a player has two or more terz, then the highest card of the elder terz is announced. If "B" has a smaller tertz, then he simply says "Less" or "Yours". If "B" has a greater tertz, then he calls his highest card. If the tertz are equal, then the one who has the trump announces this. If such an announcement did not follow, then the first player in the order of surrender is deemed to have declared terz.

If "A" announces fifty dollars, then subsequent players no longer announce Tertsa.

It is forbidden to ask for growth in the absence of an equivalent combination; also to bid if there is a superior design of the same type of combination, if the player has not refused to bid in the first place. For example, player “A” has tertz from dozens, player “B” has tertz from a lady. Player “A” declares terz, “B” is allowed not to participate in the auction, but if he asks about the growth and receives an answer, passes the auction, then such behavior is a violation of the rules and entails a fine.

The winner of the combination application may announce any undeclared terts and fifty dollars. If he starts the game, he must show the cards of the declared combinations at the same time as his move; if the first move in the game is not his, then it shows the announced combinations immediately after the first move of the opponent starting the game.

Bella is not announced before the start of the game: her player has the right (but is not obliged) to announce by saying “Bella” at the first exit of any card from her composition, i.e. the announcement on the second card is forbidden (the condition is sometimes stipulated that the bella is announced at any move). An ad is acceptable regardless of the outcome of the auction.

Undeclared combinations do not count.

Game

During the game, players take bribes. The first move is made by the player sitting at the dealer on the left hand. On the card put by the player, the next player puts his card in the suit, in the absence of suit - a trump card, in the absence of suit and trump card - deletes any card. During the game, there is one feature:

  • If the next player has a smaller trump card and a larger trump card than the single or highest trump card of open cards, then the player must play a big trump card;

Scoring

Players sum up the points of the cards contained in their tricks. Cards are rated as follows

  • seven, eight and nine (excluding trump) points do not bring
  • ace - 11 points
  • ten - 10 points
  • king - 4 points
  • lady - 3 points
  • Jack (excluding trump) - 2 points.
  • jack trump - 20 points
  • nine trump - 14 points

Bonuses for combinations and a bonus for the last trick (the so-called last ) are added to the points making up the amount of cards

  • tertz - 20 points (respectively, two tertsa - 40 points, three - 60 points)
  • fifty dollars - 50 points (respectively two fifty dollars - 100 points)
  • Bella - 20 points
  • last (last trick) - 10 points

So, for a game in a game without combinations it is possible to score 162 points (11 · 4 + 10 · 4 + 4 · 4 + 3 · 4 + 2 · 3 + 20 + 14 + 10). Such a party is called "one hundred sixty-second." If, for example, tertz was announced in the game, it is called “one hundred and eighty-second” (162 + 20 per tertz), etc. This is convenient for a two-on-two game, when, after calculating the points of one team, the points of the other are determined by subtraction points of the first of the “number” of the game (after all, only in the four-player game is the game played by all the cards in the deck).

Points for terraces and fifty dollars are recorded to the player only if he took at least one, even if empty, bribe. Points for Bella are recorded anyway (naturally, if it was announced). It is advisable to stipulate such moments before the start of the game, as in some versions of the rules fifty kopecks (deberts) is recorded in any case, and you must take one bribe to Bella.

The points received by the players are recorded in the table.

In each hand, the player who announced the trump card must take more points than the opponent in a two-player game and both opponents in a three-player game. In the event that the player who announced the trump card takes less points than the opponent, his points are added to the opponent’s points, and the player is recorded with the so-called byte ( badge ), indicated by the letter "B" in the table. If the game is played by three players, then the player’s points are recorded to the one of his two rivals who took the most points.

There may be two situations related to the equality of points:

  • when the opponent (rivals) of the player scored the same amount of points as the player. In this case, the player’s points are recorded separately (the so-called hanging byd ). They will be received by one of the players, including the player, who will score the most points in the next hand (or, by agreement, the hanging bide will pass to the whist); the next hand will be played by the player whose points “hung” on the game
  • when there is a canoe when playing a three-player game, but both opponents of the player scored the same number of points. In this case, the player’s points are also recorded separately and they will be received by the one of the rivals of the player who will score the most points in the next hand; the player who received the byte does not claim them.

The party consists of several changes. The game is won by the player who first scored 301 points or 501 points in a three-player game.

There is a rule that a player approaching the end of the game has the right to end the game without waiting for the end of the draw, assuming that he already has enough points in his tricks taking into account bonuses. For example, a player has 461 points. In surrender, he has a tertz and a trump jack. Taking even an empty bribe with a trump jack, he gets 20 points for a jack and 20 points for tertz, which will total 501 points with the existing 461 points. For this, the player after the end of the move says “Party”. If the player is mistaken, no penalties are provided, the game simply continues (although the rule of immediate loss of the advertiser may be provided for the two of us). The point of early termination of the game is that the player can win the general game (“roll”), even if the strength of his cards in the last hand is not enough to win this hand, which enriches the player’s abilities - he can go on playing with weak cards if he lacks up to 501 a small number of points. Opponents (opponents) in the drawing of the prematurely completed change are not recorded points received in this drawing. Early termination of the game is possible before any of the players moves with the last card he has.

Only one player wins the game (or a team in a two-on-two game).

Penalties

There is a pencil rule in the debber. This means that the player who has counted and recorded his points puts his cards aside without mixing them with others and puts a pencil. His opponent (opponents) has the right to verify the record. If the opponent finds an error, the error amount is debited from the account of the error, it is also added to the points of the inspector. It is interesting that a mistake of 100 points is not traditionally punishable (in fact, a player has the right to record fewer points than he scored for the con, that is, you can make a mistake to the worse with impunity). However, if this player is found to be playing and his points are less than that of the opponent, a byte will be announced.

Byte (the so-called byte on the cards ) also punishes the player who allowed:

  • falserenons
  • the presence of an extra card on hand
  • shortage of cards on hand (the dealer is in bytes)
  • false announcement of the design (if the players stipulate the absence of an obligation to show it)
  • trump trump seven replacement
  • replacing a seven with a revealed trump card if the game goes differently

Record Points

Points can be recorded with special characters. This dramatically increases the speed of recording and counting. There are three main symbols:

  • circle - equal to 50 points
  • circle (crossed out) - equal to 100 points
  • horizontal and vertical line (stick) - equal to 20 points
 

If there are not enough points to write a character in the table, the player can write them down (-) or down (+) - these are the so-called “small points”.

For example, if a player scores 36 points, he writes two sticks and 4 on top (i.e. 40-4). Record 68 points - three sticks and 8 from the bottom (i.e. 20 * 3 + 8), or a circle, stick and 2 from the top (i.e. 50 + 20-2).

There is a recording rule, according to which - with good, bad does not happen. That is, you can not simultaneously have small points in the records in the pros and cons.

To show that the record is not relevant, just cross it out.

In order to close a game with the word “Party” in order to avoid misunderstandings, the player is also obliged to close it on paper - draw a vertical line to the right of all his points, then a horizontal line to the left under his points from his bottom point.

After a player has put a pencil (or transferred it to another player), he is not allowed to take it again and add points in his table. The pencil rule is included.

Money game

Существуют разные способы расплаты, оговариваемые заранее, но в целом, их можно разделить на два варианта: зависящий от количества очков проигравшего и не зависящий. В последнем случае оговаривается фиксированная плата за партию или ряд партий.

Если же оговорён вариант, зависящий от количества очков проигравшего, то самый простой из них — привязка одного очка к какой-либо единице, например к рублю. Тогда если проигравший в партии вдвоём имеет, например 210 очков, то он проиграет 90 очков и соответственно 90 рублей (традиционно оплата рассчитывается не из 301 или 501 очка, а из 300 или 500). Как правило, устанавливаются следующие правила:

  • при игре вдвоём игрок, не набравший 100 очков, платит в двойном размере;
  • при игре втроём игрок, не набравший 100 очков, платит в тройном размере, не набравший 250 очков — платит в двойном размере.

После того, как деньги положены на кон, игрок обязан доиграть партию до конца.

Клабор

Одесская разновидность игры отличается более жёсткими правилами и называется «клабор». Некоторые термины игры также имеют другое название, например, «байт» называют «бэйт» или «болт», козырный валет — «мусор», козырная девятка — «манэлла», терц 7, 8, 9 — «пионер».

  • бывает маленькая (501 очко) и большая (1001 очко) партии.
  • при игре вчетвером, играют в парах два на два игрока.
  • первый ход делает «играющий», а не сидящий от сдающего слева.
  • карты сдаются по очереди, по часовой стрелке, а не выигравшим игроком.
  • белла может быть объявлена только в тот момент, когда игрок кладёт козырную даму или короля. Если игрок объявил беллу, но взятку забирает другой игрок, очки за беллу (20) записываются забравшему взятку. Один из вариантов правил игры (строгач) предусматривает необходимость взятия объявившим игроком/парой взяток по обеим картам для засчитывания беллы.
  • если в течение игры игрок (пара) не берёт ни одной взятки, это называется «лыжи» или «лыжа» и со счёта игрока (пары) вычитается 100 очков.
  • игрок (пара), набравший во время партии 3 бэйта (не обязательно подряд), вычитает со своего счёта 100 очков. Кроме того, за каждый последующий болт в течение партии (Б4, Б5 и т.д.), у игрока (пары) будет отниматься по 100 очков.
  • после того, как карты были перетасованы игроком, он предоставляет сидящему справа игроку возможность указать пальцем то место в колоде, с которого нужно начинать раздавать карты, то есть «дает на срез», таким образом исключая возможность подтасовки. Если колода не была дана на срез, сдающему игроку вычитается со счёта 100 очков.
  • сдающий начинает сдачу карт с игрока слева от себя и далее по часовой стрелке (когда игроков более двух).
  • если у игрока после сдачи карт, меньше 2 очков на руках (без прикупа), объявляется пересдача. Впрочем, количество очков может меняться вплоть до исключения возможности пересдачи, эти условия оговаривается заранее.
  • когда сдающему второй раз предоставляться возможность выбора, он обязан назвать другую масть (то есть ту, которая не была потенциальным козырем), которая и будет козырем. Это называется «обязон». Таким образом, сдающий не имеет права пасовать дважды и обязан во что-то сыграть, если остальные игроки спасовали, то есть у него больше шансов получить бэйт.
  • как правило, игроку запрещено сразу говорить «два паса», особенно когда обязон его напарника, поскольку таким образом игрок даёт понять напарнику, что ему не во что играть и он не сможет его выручить. Данное правило не является обязательным и оговаривается до начала игры.
  • если противники набирают равное количество очков, объявляется «висяк», карты сдаёт следующий по порядку игрок и тот, кто выбирал козырь в прошлый раз будет обязан играть в ту масть, которая выпадет при сдаче, то есть выбора козыря не происходит. При этом терцы и полтины не могут объявляться ни одной из сторон, можно объявлять только беллу. Если игрок (пара), заработавший висяк, выиграет эту игру, очки будут записаны как положено, с учётом очков прошлой игры. Если будет бэйт, соперник получит все очки за обе игры.
  • терц или полтина могут быть показаны в промежутке времени от сдачи карт и до переворачивания второй взятки.
  • если у игрока (пары) терц по старшинству совпадает с терцом оппонента и оба являются некозырными, то терц засчитывается тому из них, кто взял последнюю взятку — «послед».
  • если у игрока по некозырной масти есть только десятка, то она называется «неприкрытой», поскольку при заходе по данной масти, игроку ничего не остаётся, кроме как положить её, чья бы взятка не была.
  • в клаборе распространено понятие «ланжировать» (в основном, при игре вчетвером). Оно означает действие, когда при некозырной взятке, игрок намеренно кладёт карту меньшего достоинства, вместо имеющегося у него туза по этой же масти (разумеется, если у него есть такая возможность). Таким образом он сохраняет высшую карту, чтобы при следующем заходе по данной масти иметь шанс забрать десятку, которая теперь может оказаться неприкрытой.
  • козырь противника, как правило, принято перебивать, если у игрока есть такая возможность. Если козырь не перебит старшим (или соперник не имеет козыря) напарник не обязан класть старший козырь, а может скинуть маленький, даже меньшего номинала, чем ход (например ход в короля, напарник кидает 7, 8 или Даму)
  • при игре вчетвером, потенциальный козырь всегда идёт сдающему, поскольку это часть его прикупа.
  • может применяться дополнительная комбинация карт: клабор 6 карт одной масти подряд с туза, сразу сданных игроку, то есть без прикупа. Игрок объявляет «клабор» и партия считается выигранной им, даже если на момент получения клабора у счастливчика было отрицательное кол-во очей. в Запись идёт 1001 на текущее кол-во очей соперника.
  • если игрок забирает взятку козырем, либо кладёт другую масть, хотя у него на руках имеется масть, с которой был «заход», объявляется пересдача, а со счёта игрока (пары) вычитается 100 очков. В ряде случаев это не выгодно сопернику, т.к при игре 232 (с полтиной и Беллой) играющим выгоднее завершить раздачу, а не снять 100 очков, тогда соперник принимает решение какое наказание применить: исправить ошибку и продолжить или просто продолжить, или же заказать просто пересдачу без штрафа в -100. Такое право предоставляется сопернику специально, чтобы избежать возможности соперника минимизировать разрыв, ведь при козырной полтине с туза и наличию тузов у напарника - можно поставить лыжу и набрать 232, тогда разница будет 332 очка, а со штрафом лишь -100.

Особенности харьковской разновидности игры

В Харькове часто говорят « дэбчик ». Терц 7,8,9 иногда называют «бедный», «бомжовский», «с добрым утром» (по аналогии с часами утреннего пробуждения), а также «хоккейный», потому что в терце есть семёрка, которую часто называют «клюшкой» из-за похожести форм; полтинник называют «полтиной», терц или полтину включающую и даму, и короля - белованным. Если комбинация имеет туз как старшую карту, то на вопрос «рост» отвечают «потолок». Если у игрока на руках из какой либо масти только десятка, то её называют «висяком», так как при заходе тузом игрок обязан положить карту этой масти, иначе рискует быть «сладкачом».

  • возможна игра вчетвером, в том числе в команде два на два игрока (этот вариант обычно называют бэлоид);
  • карты сдаются не выигравшим игроком, а по очереди (исключение — игра вдвоём), по часовой стрелке, обязательно дать «на сдвиг»(«на срез») игроку справа от сдающего, если не дал — «байт» сдающему;
  • 3 байта накладывают штраф -100 очков; игра без взяток -50 очков;
  • потенциальный козырь обычно кладётся поверх колоды;
  • при игре втроём нижняя карта колоды (фреза) иногда специально не открывается, чтобы сложней было просчитать карты противника;
  • когда сдающему второй раз предоставляется возможность выбора, он обязан назвать другую масть (то есть ту, которая не была потенциальным козырем), которая и будет козырем. Говорят, что сдающего «загнали в обяза́» или «твоя обязаловка». Таким образом, у сдающего больше шансов получить байт ;
  • после определения козыря игрокам раздают дополнительно по четыре карты при игре вдвоём или втроём, или по две при игре вчетвером (в игре вся колода), которые могут раздаваться по-разному: либо в том же порядке, что и первые шесть, либо начиная слева от «играющего»;
  • существуют разные варианты обращения с картой-потенциальным козырем: при игре вдвоём или втроём 1) её берёт себе «играющий» игрок 2) она кладётся в низ колоды 3) может быть поменяна на семёрку; при игре вчетвером семёркой её забирать нельзя, её берёт играющий;
  • может применяться дополнительная комбинация карт: деберц (произносится как дэбэрц): 7 козырных (иногда и не козырных) карт подряд. Объявивший и показавший деберц, или сразу выигрывает партию, или получает максимум очков(301, 501, 1001). Таким образом, даже безнадёжно проигрывающий игрок, теоретически имеет шанс на победу. Но также деберц совместно с штрафом даёт в сумме недостаточное количество очков для победы;
  • при игре вчетвером может применяться дополнительная комбинация карт: сотня 5 карт подряд одной масти (иногда 6 карт, тогда 5 карт образуют пяти карточную полтину);
  • старшинство комбинаций не зависит от того, козырная или некозырная комбинация;

However, if this was noticed (called “Sweet Bribe” or the player who did it is called “Sweet Bribe”), at the end of the game he takes any one bribe, sometimes except for a bribe with a trump jack;
  • when playing three together, the points of the player who received the byte can be divided in half between two other players, regardless of which of them took the most;
  • the party ahead of schedule cannot be completed on a trump jack. Thus, a player about to close a game is obliged to take any bribe after playing a trump jack. If the trump jack was the last trick in the knight, players start a new knight. If the player does not have the required number of points, all his points for all the horses are doubly copied to the opponent and the game continues;
  • in a four-player game, as agreed, “obligated to interrupt” may not apply to the teammate, since the bribe leaves this team anyway.
