Sinop (boat)

Sinop - a mine boat of the Russian Imperial Fleet , distinguished itself during the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-1878 .

One of the four boats with which the Grand Duke Constantine mine transport was armed. Member of the first ever successful torpedo attack ( January 13 - 14, 1878 ).

Initially, a “survey” (hydrographic) boat. After the inclusion of the armament of the “Grand Duke Constantine”, on December 26, 1876, by order of S. O. Makarov, the boat was given the name “Sinop”.
