The Bravo Trophy ( Italian: Trofeo Bravo ) is an annual award awarded since 1978 by Guerin Sportivo to the best young soccer player in Europe .
Until 1992, a football player who was under 23 years old and who took part in the European Cup , the UEFA Cup or the Cup Winners Cup could receive the award. After 1992, any player under the age of 21 playing in any of the European football leagues can receive the award.
The award is awarded based on the results of the fall-spring football season, and not according to the results of the calendar year.
