History
The university was founded in 1968 as a result of the division of the old University of Paris into 13 independent educational institutions. Since 1992, the University has been conducting joint training programs with St. Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance .
University professor Pierre-Louis Lyons received the 1994 Fields Prize .
