Avon ( English River Avon ) - a river in the UK , a tributary of the Severn River (flows into it at Tewksbury in Gloucestershire ). Internally, the country also has the names of Verhniy Avon , Warikshire Avon, and Shakespeare Avon . The length of the river is 154 km (the 11th longest river in the UK ). It flows through five English counties - Leicestershire , Warwickshire , Northamptonshire , Worcestershire and Gloucestershire . The only navigable river in Warwickshire .
