Four times became the champion of Ukraine : in 1983, 1985, 1988 and 1996.

Participated in the 2002 Olympics. Member of a number of All-Union tournaments of young masters; the best result in 1985 - 2–4 places. The results of performances in international tournaments: Poznan (1985) - 1-2; 1986 - 1st; Tbilisi (1985) - 4th – 6th places.
