A common man in Ancient Russia is a peasant , a member of a rural community .
Community members (otherwise people , in the singular - "Lyudin", hence - "commoner") were the main population of Ancient Russia.
A free community member had the right and opportunity to directly participate in political life and, with his voice at the evening, influence all major government decisions.
