Square Minutka is an area in the city of Grozny . Crosses by Kadyrov Avenue , Saykhanov and Pavel Musorov Streets [1] .

History
In Soviet times, it was called October Square [2] [3] . In 1991, it was renamed Khrushchev Square in honor of the first secretary of the CPSU Central Committee Nikita Khrushchev [4] [3] . Unofficially, it was called Minute, because before it ran a working train and stayed there for only one minute. This name became official in 1995 [3] .
During the first and second Chechen wars, the square became the site of bloody battles between the illegal armed groups of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria and the military units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation [5] [6] [7] .
In 2006, the Grozny authorities planned to erect a monument to Khrushchev on Minutka Square [8] .
In 2008, reconstruction of the square began [9] [10] . In 2011, a fountain was installed in the center of the square [3] . In 2016, the Minutka shopping center was opened on the square [11] [12] .
