Hansheinz Schneeberger ( German: Hansheinz Schneeberger ; born October 16, 1926 , Bern ) is a Swiss violinist .
He graduated from the Berne Conservatory ( 1944 ) with Walter Kegi, then studied also in Lucerne with Karl Flash and in Paris with Boris Kamensky . He taught in Bern, Biel, Basel, in 1958 - 1961 . was the first accompanist of the North German Radio Orchestra , led his own string quartet. He toured extensively around the world - in particular, in 1985 he took part in the Yun Isan music festival in South Korea, in 1986 he toured the Soviet Union (Leningrad - Vilnius - Riga - Odessa - Moscow) together with guitarist Rudolf Wangler .
Schneeberger first performed in 1958 (with the Basel Chamber Orchestra conducted by Paul Sacher ) the first, youthful Concerto for violin and orchestra by Bela Bartok , two years before that had been extracted from the archive of Stefi Geyer , to which he was dedicated. On his account also the premiere of Frank Martin 's violin concerto and the play “Tempora” by Klaus Huber . For many years, Schneeberger intensively recorded music of modern Swiss composers as a soloist and ensemble.
In 1995 , Schneeberger was awarded the Robert Schumann Prize .
