Vladimir Ilyich Rubin (born August 5, 1924 , Moscow ) is a Soviet composer. People's Artist of Russia ( 1995 ) [1] .

Biography
Vladimir Rubin was born on August 5, 1924 in Moscow, in the family of doctors Ilya Osipovich Rubin and Rosa Moiseyevna Geltser. In 1949 he graduated from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Theater . His teachers were Alexander Goldenweiser (piano) , Pavel Lamm , Alexander Gedike , Maria Nemenova-Lunts , Nikolai Peiko (composition) . He collaborated, among other performers, with Leonid Ekimov .
