History

2011/2012 season

The championship started in the Western Conference with two matches on September 10 and 11, and in the Eastern on October 7 and 8. In the Western Conference, the championship was opened by the teams HC Chelny and HC Lipetsk , in both matches the victory with a score of 2: 4 was scored by HC HC Lipetsk. In the Eastern Conference met " Cedar " and "Petrel", in both matches, the victory was left for "Cedar" (5: 2 and 6: 2).

February 23 in the Western Conference started the playoffs. As a result, the winner in the final was won by the winner of the regular stage in the West - Voronezh “Buran”, who won the Tver “TCC” with a total score in the 3: 1 series. In the match for the third place, the winner was Smolensk “ Slavutych ”, who defeated “Crystal” from Elektrostal with a score of 7: 1. In the east, according to the results of the regular stage, the Barnaul Altai became the winner, Shakhtar from Prokopyevsk took the second place, and Kedr from Novouralsk took the third place.

2012/2013 season

In the offseason, the RHL suffered great losses: 7 clubs left the league immediately. First, on April 27, the league left Zauralie-2 and Sputnik-2 : on their basis, partner clubs created youth teams that now compete in the MHL championship . Together with them, Belgorod also left for the MHL. Then, on May 30, “ Buran ” and “ THK ” left the league, who applied to join the VHL in March. And finally, on July 27, Chelny and Neftyanik-2 , now called Sputnik, left the MHL.

On August 14, two newcomers joined the league: “ Burevestnik-1976 ” from Tomsk and “ Yamal Sterkh ” from Noyabrsk . In addition, three clubs immediately changed their name: the Novosibirsk Wings of the Soviets changed their name to Novosibirsk , the Tyumen Gazovik to Rubin-2 , and the Seversky Yantar changed its name to Neftyanik-Smena .

However, on October 2, 2012, “ Petrel-1976 ”, without having received adequate funding, withdrew from the RHL championship [2] .
