Harold Perrino ( born Harold Perrineau ; born August 7, 1963 , Brooklyn , New York ) is an American actor . Best known for her role as Mercutio in the movie Romeo + Juliet and for her role as Michael Dawson in the television series Lost .

Harold Perrino was born in 1963 in Brooklyn , New York ; his parents were Harold Williams and Sylvia Perrino. His parents were never married, so Harold took his mother's last name as a stage name so that he would not be confused with his father - Harold Williams Sr. Perrino studied at Shenandoah University , but did not finish it. Harold is married to model and actress Brittany Perrino , they have 3 daughters - Aurora Robinson Perrino , who was born in 1994 , Winter Aria, who was born on May 7, 2008 and Holiday Grace Perrino (born March 21, 2013). a [3] .
