Krausism

Krausism is a philosophical trend and social movement , popular in Spain and Latin America in the 19th century .

History

Based on the ideas of the German philosopher Karl Friedrich Krause, the movement became widespread in Spain, where it was promoted by Julian Sans del Rio ( 1814 - 1869 ) and Francisco Giner de los Rios ( 1839 - 1915 ).

This philosophy was widespread in the Kingdom of Spain , where it became widespread thanks to the efforts of Julian Sanz del Rio and Institución Libre de Enseñanza (budgetary educational institution) led by Francisco Giner de los Rios , as well as the contribution of an outstanding lawyer Federico Castro.

Krause tried to reconcile the ideas of a monotheistic one God, understood by religion, with a pantheistic or empirical understanding of the world. Divinity, which is intuitively understood as consciousness, is not a person (implying limitations), but an all-embracing entity (Wesen), which contains the universe. He called this system pantheism , a combination of monotheism and pantheism . His theory of peace and humanity is universal and idealistic.
