Physico-geographical characteristics
Located on the right bank of the Lena River , 11 km south of the ulus center of the village. Nizhny Bestyakh , on the plain of Neryuktyai opposite the plain of Tuymaada .
The climate is sharply continental . In winter, to -48, in summer to +35 ° C.

The population is 2.0 thousand people. (1989). According to the local administration, as of 01.01.2001, 2010 people lived here.
Infrastructure
In the village is the central estate of the collective enterprise “Turt”, the main industries are dairy cattle breeding, meat herd horse breeding, agriculture (vegetable and potato farming). There are a House of Culture, a secondary school, health care and trade institutions.

Subordinate to the hereditary administration p. Pavlovsk is located at a distance of 4 km from it, the rural village of Khomustakh.
