Kerem Kabadayı ( tour: Kerem Kabadayı ) - poet , musician ( drummer ). He is one of the founders and member of the Turkish rock band Mor ve Ötesi .

Biography

Born December 20, 1977 in the city of Ankara . His parents are Ulka Kabadayi (father), Mujde Kabadayi (mother).

Education

In the period from 1983 - 1988 he studied at the Bahariya primary school (Bahariye İlkokulu). Then he studied at the Private German Lyceum of Istanbul ( İstanbul Özel Alman Lisesi ) ( 1988 - 1996 ), where he met with Harun Tekin . In 2000 he graduated from the Faculty of Production, Koch University. In the period from 2001 to 2004, Kerem continued his studies at the Bosphorus University at the Faculty of the History of Architecture, Urbanization and Contemporary Art. He graduated with the diploma work “Capitalist urbanization of Turkey between the 1920s and the beginning of the 1990s: an alternative interpretation” with an inclination towards Marxist urbanization and the theory of history. He also lectured ( 2000 - 2004 ) at the University of Koch at the Faculty of Science and Literature. He left this job, and began postgraduate studies in the history of architecture at the Technical University of Istanbul .

Literature

Kerem's first published article was published in the Amiga Dunyasi computer technology magazine back in 1992 . But in the same year, the magazine ceased to exist. Since 2003, Kabadayi has been writing for Asklepios magazine (a medical journal).

Music

Kerem Kabadayi began playing drums as an amateur in 1990 . Then, he took lessons from the drummer of the Turkish rock group Whiskey Alpei Asen Salt, after which he continued his musical career with the band “Decision” (“Decision”), consisting of Sakhin Yalabyk (vocals), Harun Tekin (guitar), Darin Esmara (guitar ), Alper Tekin (bass) until 1994 .

After the departure of Sakhin Yalabyk, the musicians decided to switch to Turkish lyrics, having founded Mor ve Ötesi ("Purple and Beyond") in 1995 . Şehir's first album was released in 1996 . Kerem Kabadayi became the author of four songs of the album: Sabahın Köründe , Uyku , Past and Reality . It is worth noting that Uyku is the group’s first song in Turkish.
