Ragdoll ( English Ragdoll - “rag doll”) is a breed of large semi-long-haired cats.

The breed was bred in the USA in the 1960s by Anne Baker, a breeder of Persian cats from California . Cats were selected according to the mildest nature, as a result of which they can completely relax in the hands of a person, which gave the name of the breed.
The average weight of cats is 4-6 kg, adult cats 7-10 kg. The head has the shape of a wide wedge, the ears are wide apart and have rounded tips, sometimes with tassels, eyes are large, oval, blue, nose straight with a bend at the top, has an average length. A large, elongated, massive body, a wide chest, a strong neck and a long, well-pubescent tail. The coat is blue, purple, chocolate or dark gray. Ragdoll cats grow up late: by 3-4 years. Calm, do not release claws when playing.
