Myrciaria ( lat. Myrciaria ) is a genus of plants of the Myrta family . Types of Myrziarii are common in the tropical regions of South America, especially in Brazil . Species of the genus - small trees or large shrubs .

The fruits of some species of Myrziarii are edible. The most well-known in this regard is Jaboticaba ( Myrciaria cauliflora ). It is cultivated on a commercial scale in Brazil and in neighboring countries. Its fruits resemble grapes in size and appearance.
Myrciaria dubia ( Myrciaria dubia ) is cultivated in flooded areas of the Amazon lowlands. Its fruits are very rich in vitamin C ( ascorbic acid ).
