Sergey Yakovlevich Kulnev ( May 26, 1858 - 1926 ) - Russian venerologist. Professor. In 1891-1925 Chief Doctor of the Kalinkinskaya Hospital in St. Petersburg . Chairman of the Russian Syphilidological Society. From 1903 to 1924 Head of the Department of Skin Diseases of the Women's Medical Institute in Petrograd.

Biography
He graduated from the Military Medical Academy in 1883 and was left with it for improvement. In 1889 he defended his thesis for the degree of doctor of medicine "On the lymphangitis accompanying primary syphilitic phenomena" and was elected as an ordinator of the Kalinka city hospital for women with syphilis. In 1890 he became the chief doctor of the city’s male venereal Alafuzovskaya hospital, and in 1891 he was appointed the chief physician of the Kalinkinsky hospital. He remained in this position until 1925, when the hospital ceased its independent existence and was transferred to Mechnikovskaya hospital. With the organization in 1918 of the Venereological Council at the Petrograd City Health Department was its chairman. Member of the Moscow Syphilidological Society named after A. Pospelov. Many times he chaired the special sections of the Pirogov Congresses .
He died in 1926. He was buried at the Novodevichy cemetery in St. Petersburg [1] .
