Biography
In 1995 he graduated from Tbilisi State University with a degree in Languages of the East. He also studied at the Department of Diplomatic Relations at Oxford University . Since 1996 - at diplomatic work.
An employee of the apparatus of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia in 1996 - 1998, 2002 - 2004. An employee of the Georgian Embassy in Turkey in 1998 - 2002. In 2004, he was appointed Ambassador of Georgia to Turkey , and since 2006, after the reorganization of diplomatic missions, he has also been ambassador to Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina .
He served as Prime Minister of Georgia for a short period from November 2008 to January 2009 .
At the end of December 2008, according to a number of media reports, a quarrel arose between Mgaloblishvili and President Saakashvili, as a result of which Saakashvili even hit the prime minister and threw a telephone at him. The causes of the incident were not disclosed. As reported, even then Mgaloblishvili was going to resign, but the president did not accept her. [1] [2] The resignation took place on January 30, 2009.
Soon after his resignation, he continued his diplomatic career. June 26, 2009 was approved by the Georgian parliament as the Permanent Representative of Georgia to NATO .
