Feminized hemp , cultivar cannabis varieties in which male and female plants (see Poskos and Mater ) develop at the same rate, and the percentage of male plants is relatively small. The use of feminized varieties allows you to remove hemp "in one term", without prior segregation of male plants.
Feminized hemp varieties were first bred at the beginning of the XX century. and until the 1960s. were considered a promising direction in breeding. Currently, in industrial hemp breeding they are almost completely replaced by monoecious varieties, however, they retain their importance in the cultivation of psychotropic hemp. Most hybrids with a high THC content bred in the last 20 years are feminized.
