Beetles (film, 2001)

After completing military service, Tad Gage returns home and finds out that there are problems in the family: the younger brother, nicknamed Tadpole (a nickname given in connection with his brother's great mental abilities), got away from the family and is engaged in secret affairs. Ted makes an appointment with him, wanting to find out what’s the matter, but his brother is being blown up. Detective Gina O'Bannon takes over the investigation of this case, and in parallel with her, Ted is investigating. She manages to find a connection between this murder and the recent murder of a bus driver, and to connect all these events with the activities of the Trilian sect, led by Lazarus. Meanwhile, hordes of cockroaches that obey the orders of Lazarus kill more and more people. Ted and Detective Gina have to stop Lazarus.
