Thomas "Tommy" Bern ( Eng. Tommy Byrne , May 6, 1958 , Drogheda ) is an Irish race car driver, a participant in the Formula 1 world car racing championship.

Biography
Initially started in the rally in the mid-1970s, in 1977 he switched to circuit races, competed in Formula Ford . In 1981, he won the British and European Formula Ford Championships, the next year he became the champion of the British Formula 3 . In late 1982, he spent several races in the Formula 1 World Championship for the Theodore team , did not score points, and failed to qualify three times. In 1983 he competed in the European Formula 3 Championship, won two races. In 1985, he moved to the USA , where from 1985 to 1990 he performed in the ARS racing championship (currently, the “ Indies Lights ” series). After performances in the Mexican Formula 3 in 1995, he started racing only sporadically. He currently lives in the United States, where he works as a racing instructor.
