Zuevskaya TPP ( ZuTES , previously - ZuGRES-2 ) - a thermal power plant located 40 km east of Donetsk ( Zugres near Zuevka ). Since March 2014, it has been under the control of the self - proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic [1] [2] .

It is a city-forming enterprise for the village of power engineers and the city of Zugres, located 1 km south of the power plant.

History
After commissioning, the station was called “ZuGRES-2” (Zuevskaya State District Electric Power Station No. 2), then it got the modern name.
On April 28, 2001, the Zuevskaya TPP (previously owned by the Donbassenergo generating company) was sold at an auction at Techrempostavka and became a separate unit of DTEK Vostokenergo LLC (a structural unit of DTEK Corporation) [3] (financial and industrial group System Capital Management , whose shareholder is Rinat Akhmetov ) [4] . The power plant was sold for debts as a hopeless bankrupt and debtor, but at the end of the year the sale showed a net profit equal to the price for which it was bought. The director of the power plant was the same person before privatization and after privatization. How he managed to make super-profitable from a loss-making enterprise burdened with debts in six months is not known.
July 28, 2003 Zuevskaya TPP was included in the list of especially important electric power facilities of Ukraine, the protection of which was entrusted to departmental militarized security in cooperation with specialized units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and other central executive bodies [5] .
In 2008–2013, power units No. 1, 2, and 4 were modernized, which made it possible to increase the unit unit power by 20–25 MW, increase the reliability of the equipment, and reduce the environmental impact. In 2014-2015, it is planned to reconstruct power unit No. 3. [4] .
Since 2017, it came under the control of the DPR [6] In February 2018, 1,259 employees worked.
October 19, 2018, on the Day of Flag of the DPR, on the cooling tower of the OP Zuevskaya TPP RP Energia Donbassa in the city of Zugres, the work on applying the largest flag of the Donetsk People's Republic (2000 sq.m) was completed! jpg
Description
The installed electric capacity of the station at the end of 2013 was 1270 MW . Four power units with a unit capacity of 325, 320, 300 and 325 MW , commissioned in 1982-1988, are in operation. Project fuel is coal of gas grades. In 2013, the TPP generated 6574 million kWh , the KIUM of the station amounted to 59.6%. [four]
