Darrington Walls ( Durrington Walls ) - a large Neolithic settlement located on the Salisbury Plain 3.2 km northeast of Stonehenge , near Woodhenge . The settlement arose during the construction of Stonehenge. The builders of Stonehenge surrounded their city with a huge barrier wall. The houses were built of wood with clay floors and had a round base with a diameter of about five meters.
