Based on the possessive form of the name and existence of the church parish, Ivanovo was once a village founded by a man with the last name Ivanov .
History
At the beginning of the XIX century, the estate in Ivanovsky (Lvovo) was owned by Major I. N. Arshenevsky. In the years 1801-1809, the stone Church of the Nativity of John the Baptist was built at his expense in the village [7] .
In the XX century, the population began to decline, and Ivanovo received the status of the village . According to the topographic map of 1983 , then about 10 people lived in the village [8] . When in Ivanovsky there was not a single registered resident, they decided to deprive the village of the status of a settlement.
Current State
There are still three residential buildings in Ivanovo now abandoned; from other buildings were only the foundations. The old church of the Nativity of John the Baptist, closed in 1930, partially destroyed during the Great Patriotic War, and then adapted for the state farm warehouse, has been preserved. Since 2008, restoration work has been carried out in the church [7] .
Now the lands of Ivanovo and adjacent fields have been bought into private ownership. The land near the church where once stood the manor house used for farming, there is an apiary on them. Today on the maps Ivanovo is indicated as a stow . The nearest settlements are the villages of Klimovskoe and Bavykino , with which the village is connected by country roads. In the Ivanovsky area there are five ponds [9] and a granite quarry [6] .
