Hercules began his career at the Juventus Club in 1928 at the age of 15. In 1935, he moved to São Paulo , but did not gain a foothold and in the same year moved to Fluminance . Hercules made his team debut on June 12 in a match with the club “ Portuguesa Desportos .” Hercules spent 176 matches for Flou, scored 164 goals - the fourth result in the team’s history. He became the 5th champion of Rio and once won the title of top scorer of the championship. In 1942, Hercules moved to Corinthians , where he completed his career.
Hercules spent 6 matches for the national team , scoring 3 goals. He participated in the 1938 World Cup , where he spent two matches with Czechoslovakia and Poland .
