History

On May 14, 1928 , the All-Russian Central Executive Committee and the Council of People's Commissars of the RSFSR adopted a resolution on the formation in the territory of the former Voronezh , Kursk , Oryol and Tambov provinces of the Central Black Earth Region (CCO) with a center in the city of Voronezh .

On July 16, 1928 , the composition of the central district districts was determined, and on July 30, 1928 - a network of districts . In total 11 districts and 178 districts were created. Among others, the Ostrogozhsky District was formed as part of the Central Black Earth Region . The district originally consisted of 16 districts.

On September 18, 1929 , the Starooskolsky District was formed, to which 3 districts of the Ostrogozhsky District were transferred.

In 1930 , the existence of districts was deemed inappropriate and on July 23, 1930 , by decision of the CEC and the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR, the district division was abolished. The Ostrogozhsky district was liquidated, the areas included in it began to report directly to the regional center of the Central Committee of the Central Committee.

The territory occupied by the Ostrogozhsky district is part of the modern Belgorod and Voronezh regions.
