An automobile gas filling station (AGGS) refills automobiles and other vehicles whose engines are converted or originally designed to operate on liquefied petroleum gas and have an appropriate system .
Liquefied petroleum gas is transported to gas stations in gas carriers or caravans - tanks from storage facilities or gas filling stations (STS) , which are delivered, as a rule, by rail , and sometimes from nearby oil refineries (oil refineries) through a pipeline.
At the station, petroleum gas is discharged into storage tanks. In containers, the gas is in the liquid phase, under the pressure of saturated vapors. The pressure inside the tank is determined by the temperature of the tank and the fractional composition of the propane - butane mixture. Typical pressure values: at 0 ° C - 0.03 MPa (0.3 atm ), at +25 ° C - 1.2 MPa (12 atm).
In the capacity of vehicles, the liquid phase is pumped under a pressure of 1.2-1.6 MPa. Pressure is generated by the pump .
Three main methods of refueling with liquefied petroleum gas are used: pumping, pump-evaporator and pump-compressor.
The pumping method is the easiest. From the tank, the seeker is selected by the pump and supplied to the cylinder under increased pressure.
The pump-evaporation method is also simple: the electric heaters-evaporators are additionally included in the circuit, which provide an increase in pressure in tanks with a hot gas compressor at a temperature below minus 20 ° С.
