Dmitrov highway

Dmitrovskaya road leading to the ancient city of Dmitrov was already known in the XIV century (on the plan of the XVII century it is listed as Dmitrovka).

The old Dmitrov road in the 16th century ran along the Vyshegorodsky camp ^[1] .

According to the establishment of the Moscow province in 1708, the road was named Uglich ^[2] .

In the 19th century, the road was turned into a highway, named, like the road, Dmitrovsky.

Dmitrovskoye Shosse is a continuation of Butyrskaya Street from the flyover, which connects Dmitrovsky Passage and Rustaveli Street and is located next to the railway bridge of the Riga direction lines ( Moscow-Riga - Dmitrovskaya line ). Here is the Dmitrovskaya platform (left) and the metro station of the same name . After crossing the Moscow Ring Road, Dmitrovskoe highway passes through the Severny district, where General Artemyev Street , Chelobitevskoye and Dolgoprudnenskoye Highways leave from it, the road to the village of Lesnoy Storozhki, 8th Northern Line , Dolgoprudnaya Alley and Northern Passage .

Along the highway runs the section of the Serpukhov-Timiryazevskaya metro line Dmitrovskaya - Timiryazevskaya - Petrovsko-Razumovskaya . A section of the Lublin-Dmitrov metro line is planned along the highway.

In September 2013, during the reconstruction of Dmitrovskoye Shosse as part of the construction of the North-Western Chord, a six-lane Dmitrovsky tunnel was opened at the intersection with the 3rd Nizhne-Likhoborsky passage ^{[3] [4]} .

In addition to the construction of the tunnel, the project provides for the expansion of the 3rd Nizhne-Lykhoborsky passage to six lanes from Dmitrovsky highway towards Lokomotivny passage , the creation of a pedestrian crossing over the tunnel connected to three underground pedestrian crossings ^[5] .

On September 5, 2013, a transit overpass was opened at the intersection with Dolgoprudnensky and Chelobitevsky Highways ^{[6] [7]} .

On July 21, 2014, the second transit overpass of the main passage through passage 237 was opened ^[8] .

On October 27, 2014, the third transit overpass opened in the vicinity of the village of Vinogradovo ^[9] .

On May 28, 2015, with the opening of the tunnel for turning from the center to the outer side of the MKAD, the reconstruction of the interchange with the ring road was completed ^[10] .

Dmitrovskoye Shosse, the second after Kutuzovsky Prospekt emergency-hazardous section of the highway, where accidents occur with enviable regularity. The most dangerous section of the route is a section of the route near the Komsomolets cinema, there are accidents daily and 1 car accident per day is fatal ^[11] .

Largest Accidents Associated with Dmitrovsky Highway

• June 24, 1993 ^{[12] [13] [14] [15] [16]} - A car accident occurred at the intersection of Dmitrovskoye Shosse with the 3rd Nizhnelikhoborsky passage: at 11:25 in the morning the KamAZ truck of the Odintsovo ATP turned left towards Vladykino, made an incomprehensible and sharp maneuver that led to a terrible accident, having made a collision with a KamAZ fuel truck of Avtokombinat No. 11 brand, from a strong blow, gasoline (the fuel truck was complete, but the tank was outdated) poured onto the asphalt and caught fire due to the intense heat. There were three trolleybuses of routes 36, 47 and 78 behind the fuel truck, someone threw a cigarette butt on the asphalt, which caused the fuel to flare up with renewed vigor and the fire began to approach the trolley buses. The driver of the third trolley bus made a sharp leap forward, having left for the oncoming lane, because of which everything worked out (subsequently the driver of the indicated trolley bus Tereshchenko V.A was awarded the Order "For personal courage" ), because the driver thus saved several dozen passengers from imminent death , the drivers of the first two trolleybuses saw the fire, and opened all the doors, which led to the tragedy - both trolleybuses burned out completely. In addition to the trolleybus, the Ikarus-256 bus, Nissan minibus, and Nysa , Moskvich-2140 and IZH-2715 cars were completely burned out. The result of the car accident was 12 dead (10 passengers of the trolleybus burned alive and 2 killed by carbon monoxide poisoning), plus several killed in cars, 62 victims (of which 42 were hospitalized). It was the largest car accident in the history of Moscow, and until 2009, the largest car accident in the history of the Former USSR and the Russian Federation . After this car accident with fire, the passage of fuel trucks in Moscow was tightened.
